This is my second year as head football coach at PBL.  Overall, I have been coaching football for 25 years.  I was an assistant at Loras College in Dubuque, IA from 1985-1996.  I also was head football coach at Forreston High School (in Forreston, IL) from 1997-2006.  I accumulated an overall record of 73-31, with 9 playoff appearances, including a semi-final berth in 2001.  Before coming to PBL, I served as an offensive coordinator at Urbana High School  in 2007.  I currently teach Physical Education at Paxton-Buckley-Loda High.  I am married to Dawn and have 2 sons, Tyler is a senior at ISU and Austin is a freshman at Parkland.

I have been coaching at PBL High School since the 2001-2002 school year.  Prior to my tenure at PBL, I taught at MPW Alternative School in Washburn, IL and at the time I coached football at El Paso High School.  I am a graduate of Eureka College.  My family consists of my wife Erin and three boys, Payton, Braylen and Cohen.

Overall, this will be my 15^th season coaching football.  I started my coaching career at GCMS High School where I coached the freshman for 7 years. In my tenure at GCMS we made the playoffs 4 years. Later I start to coach at Fisher High School serving as the Asst. Head Football Coach and the Varsity Defensive Cord.  While at Fisher we made the playoffs all 4 years. I also acted as the Head Softball Coach for 3 years and the J.V. Girls Basketball Coach for 2 years at Fisher High School.  I then coached the Gibson youth football senior team for 2 years; winning the league championship and going a combined 16 - 1 in 2 years. I will be coaching my 2 year as the varsity offensive line and defensive line coach at PBL high school.

I graduated from ISU in 1979.  I started at Paxton-Buckley-Loda High in 1980.  I worked as an assistant football coach from 1988 through 1998 as well as in 2008.  I also acted as the varsity head coach from 2006-2007.  I am married to Amy and I have a daughter Chelsea and two sons, Dakota and Andrew.  I enjoy watching sporting events as well as participating in golf.

I am currently coaching my 3rd year as Freshman Defensive Coordinator for the PBL Panthers.  I have a combined coaching record of 14 wins and 5 losses. I also act as the Freshman Girl's Basketball Coach, with an overall record of 15-2.  I am currently employed as a paraproffessional at PBL High.  I am persuing a masters degree in Multicategorical Special Education with hopes of becoming a Special Education teacher at PBL.  I am happily married to Sharla Waugh, who is a fourth year 3rd grade teacher at PBL.
